Summertime is the time small stubby one pound propane cans, the type most often used for camping, becomes in short supply. There is none to be found at the large outlets like Canadian Tire on the Sunshine Coast or Walmart in North Vancouver.

Timing is everything – after a most delightful chat on the porch with Lynda, met up with Kathryn getting in her car to go to work at the local building supply and hardware store. The store is famous for its procurement abilities, even so none to be found for them. Kath tells me also there were three bottles left at the end of the day yesterday and she’s able to set aside one of them for me to pick up later this morning.
